Our local train station at Holytown is set to become more accessible to all pedestrians.  Our local councillor has confirmed that the improvements will include a new stairway and a DDA compliant access ramp from Holm Street for wheelchair users.  This is also great news for anyone pushing buggies with young children who were having to go out of their way to get around.  The station which is on the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Shotts line will get an access ramp with handrails, new steps, lighting and landscaping.
